Stags Pre-Season Coverage Announced.

‘From Wembley to the Welfare!’
The last piece of stag’s footballing action we saw brought us to tears, the late goal at Wembley stadium to crush our dreams has made the pacing around the house on these blank Saturday’s an agonising experience. The trolley rage we’ve all experienced in various supermarkets has been high, as has the annoyance of being dragged round shopping centres by the better half. Have no fear though because football is back very soon, it’s time for Paul Cox’s new look class of 2011-12 to introduce themselves to the board of governors – the supporters!
The return of football always brings a smile to my face, this year though, the smile is wider & has a happier meaning to it. Why? Because not only is football back, I’m back doing what I love too – commentating!
I’m delighted to reveal that Takeover Radio 106.9FM will be back for pre-season, with me as the main commentator once again, going from Wembley to Rainworth Minors Welfare – the village I grew up in.
Just like last season, Takeover will be providing coverage on all the seasons’ fixtures including this year’s pre-season friendly’s as Paul Cox’s men prepare for the 2011-12 campaign. Regular updates will be mixed in with music & other local sport for home matches whilst I will be providing FULL MATCH commentary on every away game, starting with the trip ‘home’ to Rainworth on Saturday 9th July.
Commentating at Wembley was such an honour & a privilege, it made me hungry for more & I cannot wait to get stuck in once again, visiting new grounds, new press boxes & trying to make the action sound top quality as we all follow the dream. I’d like to thank you all for the support I received for you last season; I hope it continues this year.
I know that pre-season friendly’s are difficult for some to get too, both financially & transport wise, which is why I will do my upmost to make each full match commentary on the away fixtures enjoyable.
Games will be broadcast locally on 106.9FM & online by following any of the 3 links:
